The cutaway Taylor 514ce, with its Grand Auditorium body, is a favorite with singer-songwriters and light-to-medium strummers for its blend of warmth and compression, and Taylor’s Expression System® 2 pickup delivers superb amplified tone.
Normally built with a cedar top and mahogany back and sides, for Fall 2014 the Taylor 514ce FLTD Fall Limited replaces the cedar top with Sitka Spruce and the mahogany back and sides with Tasmanian Blackwood.
The GA body produces a well-balanced sound with signature Taylor clarity, while the tonal tandem of blackwood and spruce produces a focused midrange topped with shimmering treble overtones.
The 514ce FLTD also features a shaded edgeburst finish and a venetian cutaway, with by a faux tortoise shell pickguard, ivoroid binding and an inlay package.
