Here we have a very nice Tuttle Custom Carved Top with bolt-on Maple neck and a trans-blue finish, built during 2011 near Redmond, Oregon.
Michael Tuttle has been operating Tuttle Guitars since 2003. He began building professionally in 1993 and spent some years with Valley Arts and Don Grosh before establishing his own shop.
This Tuttle Custom blends the formulas of a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany back with a bolt-on Maple neck with Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard. The shapes are unique to Tuttle, and the thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish is a deep translucent blue. For hardware, the tuners are Kluson Deluxe models, the bridge is a Tone Pros adjustable stop-tail model. The pickups are custom Tuttle ‘Patent Denied’ Zebra models, with a 3 way switch, master volume and master tone control.
This guitar plays well, and has some minor wear in the form of a few small dings and light scratches. Fret wear is light and the fret work is very clean and precise.
The original hard shell case is included.
