Serial Number	S836411, built in 1978,
Pricing	$1799 CAD with original case.
Neck	Maple neck with skunk stripe.
Frets	Medium to heavy fret wear in lower positions; could still be dressed.
Body	Alder body with fairly light weight.
Finish	Black finish on body with some wear marks, dings and scratches especially around the edges; neck is gloss natural in good condition with play wear. Some checking on finish.
Hardware/electronics	All original electronics and hardware including tuners. No ‘Ashtray’ cover.
Playability/Action	Plays reasonably but would benefit from some fret maintenance.
Case	Original black rectangular case with orange interior, in 8/10 condition.
Comments	Here’s a nice 1978 Telecaster. Very light and comfortable, unlike many guitars from the 70’s when weight was widely considered a desirable trait leading to sustain and clarity. Lighter guitars like this one, though, still exhibit lots of those tonal characteristics.
