Neck Mahogany neck-through construction with bound rosewood fingerboard. Trapezoidal mother of pearl position markers. Head is finished to match. Standard Gibson 24.75″ scale length with a full profile.
Frets original frets with binding covering ends.
Body Mahogany body extensions, built on the mahogany neck-trhrough construction. Upper back is contoured for comfort. During constructions, the center section sides receive a V-channel and the body extensions are V’d to match. This allows the characteristic raised center section.
Finish Pelham Blue gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Hardware/electronics Two Firebird pickups, 3 way switch, individual volume and tone controls. MasterTone banjo-type tuners, Maestro Vibrola unit, all nickel plated.
Playability/Action Plays great right out of the box, and we will of course set it up to the player’s requirements.
Case Gibson Firebird case included.
Comments Firebirds are iconic guitars and sound even better than they look. Gibson recently sent us three instruments in Pelham Blue, and this is the first to be featured.
