| Comments | The Gibson ES-330 was introduced in 1959 to replace the ES-225,and is cousin to the Epiphone Casino, famously used by John Lennon on many Beatles recordings. The ‘TD’ in the model number stands for Thinline, Dual Pickup. The ES-330 was discontinued in 1972, but is available again as a Gibson Custom Shop piece. This is a very nice 1967 ES-330, with a very good refinish done some years ago. It’s a great guitar to play; the hollow body is very light and comfortable and the 16-fret neck provides a much more ‘vintage’ tone and responsiveness than the late-production 19 fret necks. This is a very nice guitar. |
