Gibson J-185 Jumbo Natural, 2003

  Gibson J-185 Jumbo Natural, 2003

Here we have a Gibson J-185 Jumbo bodied steel string in Antique Natural finish, built during December of 2003 at the Gibson Acoustic plant in Bozeman, Montana. The J-185 is a very good but likely under-appreciated guitar, being overshadowed by the better known and slightly larger J-200. Currently, the available version is the J-185 Original.

Fender Precision Bass Fretless Acoustic – Electric Natural, 1993

Fender Precision Bass Fretless Acoustic - Electric Natural, 1993

The Fender Precision Bass Fretless (Acoustic / Electric) is an interesting and somewhat rare custom order model, using a semi-hollow, Spruce top Mahogany F-hole body with Rosewood bridge. This lightweight, resonant body shows influences from the Telecaster Thinline. For electronics, this distinctive bass has both a Piezo bridge pickup and a Lace Sensor split pickup selected by a pan pot, with volume and TBX tone controls.

Martin D-28 Dreadnought Natural, 1973

   Martin D-28 Dreadnought Natural, 1973

The Martin D-28 Dreadnought is one of the classic American guitars, used for countless performances and recordings since its introduction in 1931 as a 12-fret model. In 1934, it gained the 14-fret neck that is almost universally used now. The Dreadnought body design was first used by Martin for the Ditson company in 1916 but due to poor sales was retired until 1931, with the D-18 and D-28.

Taylor K26CE Koa Edgeburst, 2014

 Taylor K26CE Koa Edgeburst, 2014

The Taylor K26ce is a spectacular guitar, with a shaded edgeburst finish that really brings out the visual qualities of Koa. Starting with the Grand Symphony body, close to a Jumbo size, the Taylor K26ce uses solid AA grade Hawaiian Koa for the top, sides and back. The neck is Mahogany, and Ebony is used for the head plate, bridge and fingerboard.
