Built 2002 to 2011, the Taylor NS62ce was a ‘crossover’ model, part of the Nylon Series. A ‘Crossover’ usually has a number of features seldom found on other nylon string guitars, including a cutaway plus a narrower, crowned fingerboard and often electronics.

Larrivee L-11 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1978

The Larrivee L-11 Steel String guitar features Larrivee’s ‘L’ body, a blend of traditional classical guitar and Dreadnought proportions. The result is a very well balanced tonal palette. For the Larrivee L-11, the top and its bracing are Sitka Spruce, paired with Indian Rosewood for the sides, back, body binding, and head plate.

Huss and Dalton FS Steel String Guitar Natural, 2010

While the majority of the guitars we see are based on historically established designs, models like the Huss and Dalton FS break newer ground in adapting to modern player requirements. Here we’re looking at a Huss and Dalton FS, cutaway for upper register access, with Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck with bound Ebony fingerboard, and Ebony bridge.

Martin 000-42 Steel String Guitar Natural, 2020

Seen here is a Martin 000-42 built during 2020 in Nazareth PA, in very good, clean and original condition with minimal wear. It plays well, and is a beautiful instrument – nicely decorated but not overly so. It has been played, but apparently not extensively, and its already good sound will improve with use.

Lowden F25c Cutaway Flat top Natural, 2002

Here’s a lovely Lowden F25c with Cedar and Indian Rosewood built during 2002 at the now-closed Lowden Guitars work shop in Newtownards, Northern Ireland. The F25c is part of Lowden’s Original Series. Lowden Guitars began in 1974 with George Lowden reaching the decision to build professionally. Opening a shop in Groomsport, County Down, Northern Ireland. Orders grew and in 1980 his Swiss distributors sparked a five-year contract to have Lowden guitars built under license by dedicated workers at S. Yairi in Japan as a way of making these models more available.

Martin 00-18 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1947

Here is a fantastic Martin 00-18 steel string guitar built during 1947, well worn and has recently received all the major work. It plays well and has a wonderful sound. The work done at The Twelfth Fret Repair Shop includes a new bridge, sub plate and saddle, neck reset and re-fret. This Martin 00-18 apparently was first sold at retail by Bergstrom Kellerman Music in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the time one of the largest Martin dealers in the USA.
